Dr. Leah Safer, SLP.D., CCC-SLP
Clinical Director and Co-Founder
Leah Safer is a certified Speech Language Pathologist and founder of Let’s Talk Therapy, Inc., a private speech and occupational therapy practice with locations in both New York and New Jersey. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from Excelsior College, and a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, as well as her Doctoral Degree in Speech Language Pathology through Nova Southeastern University with a specialty in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Leah has developed an online multimedia training program on core vocabulary for parents of preschool aged children with AAC needs, secondary to a developmental disability.
Leah holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, a New York and New Jersey Speech Language Pathology professional license, a New Jersey Speech Language Pathology school license certification, and a New York and New Jersey business license. She is a member of the ASHA Sig 12 group, Augmentative and Alternative Communication.
Leah has worked for several years in both mainstream public schools and special needs private schools as well as in a skilled nursing facility servicing hundreds of individuals with various disabilities and communication disorders ranging from ages 0-95+ years old.
Leah believes that having the ability and the appropriate tools to communicate effectively in the most efficient manner is essential to leading a productive and happy life.
Daniel Safer, LMSW
CEO and Co-Founder
As the CEO and Co-Founder of Let’s Talk Therapy, Daniel utilizes his innate talents and expertise to ensure things run smoothly and with the highest of standards. Daniel’s care and concern that is evident in his social work profession as well as his strong passion to provide optimal care for each client is remarkable. Both his social work background as well as experience with administration and management are what make him so successful at what he does.
Meira Gold, M.S., OTR/L
As the clinical administrator of Let’s Talk Therapy, Meira Gold MS OTR/L takes joy in overseeing the therapy process of all clients from initial intake to discharge. Meira obtained her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2014 from Towson University, and has experience working with a diverse range of clients including both pediatric and geriatric populations across acute, subacute and outpatient settings. In addition to her clinical experience, Meira has held management and administrative positions in the retail and service industries. With her combination of clinical knowledge and administrative skills, Meira provides direct support to her clinical staff to ensure that optimal care is delivered to every client, all the time.
